About Havanese

The Havanese is a cheerful, intelligent, and affectionate toy breed originally from Cuba, often called the “Velcro dog” because of how deeply they bond with their humans. They love companionship and thrive in homes where they can be part of daily activities. Known for their expressive eyes, silky coats, and loving personalities, Havanese dogs make exceptional family companions.

Their coat is long, silky, and low-shedding, making them a great choice for allergy-sensitive families. Some owners keep their coat long and flowing, while others prefer a shorter “puppy cut” for easier maintenance. Regular brushing keeps them looking stylish and prevents tangles.
